• Educating and equipping students with problem-solving skills around the fundamentals, conceptualization, and challenges of three-dimensional art.

• Training students in compassionate curiosity and intentional reflection within in their work to begin development of their own practice beyond the university setting.

• Creating and refining curriculum, syllabus, and term assignments to facilitate learning in a collaborative, safe environment to make art in both individual and collaborative practices.

• Facilitating opportunities for constructive critique and feedback, including sharing specific feedback in a compassionate, clear, and helpful way.

• Assisted students with making and troubleshooting projects, including construction, drying times, firing schedules, and glaze techniques, offering alternative and additional solutions and methodologies to enrich instruction.

• Implemented and co-managed custom kiln firing schedules for all ceramics classes, helping undergrad TAs troubleshoot any issues.

• Maintained contact with primary instructor to ensure consistent learning and communication.

• Organized and recorded inventory of materials for large semester and mid-semester orders.

 

CERAMICS STUDENT TECH, HARPER COLLEGE, PALATINE, IL —2021-2023

• Streamlining student studio experience by problem solving and implementing new procedures through optimization and inventory management. 


• Proficient in making glazes, clay, plus loading, unloading, and programming kilns.

  

ARTIST IN RESIDENCE, LIFE ON THE VINE COMMUNITY, LONG GROVE, IL —2017-2020

• Created series of art for each liturgical season.


• Founded art ministry team, including co-leading monthly meetings to plan art usage in congregation. 


• Equipped and provided opportunities and events for congregants to engage with and contribute artwork.

• Completed commissions for permanent art structures in the building.

• Created, directed and implemented after school program for children ages 2-14, including original curriculum.
