Here we go

Hey all. It has been a MINUTE, but I'm back to writing again. While I've written about several subjects in the past, even way back to the blogging era (livejournal, anyone??), this will probably focus on all things "the arts" with some of my special interests woven in. I love writing and I love writing publicly, but I've been a little paralyzed for a few years that everything has to be polished before going on the web. I've found in my art practice that when I get stuck, sometimes what I need to do is just get my hands in clay and go from there. Just do something. So that's what I'm doing.
So hi! If you're new here, I'm Becca. I'm a ceramic artist and storyteller, and I make work about grief, loss, and trauma. I think about grief as a place rather than a set of emotions or "stages", and I think that place would look like a bog. All of us have or will experience grief at some point in our lives, and there are many different kinds of grief, so I think that my work can speak to many types of people in varying situations. I'm curious about whether my writing will speak to these same people or a different group. I'm excited to see.
I may do some backlogging of some things I've written that I'm really proud of, maybe even some poetry (!?) but I haven't fully decided yet.
So - here we go! Let me know what you want to hear about!
